OBHS Mini Careers Expo

On Wednesday morning our Mini Careers Expo was held in the school library.

Representatives from The Otago Polytechnic Te Pukenga, Delta, Workforce Dunedin Hospital Build, Primary Industries ITO, Sorec (engineering apprenticeships), Defence Force NZ, ETCO (electrician apprenticeships), BCITO (building trades), Competenz (construction trades), MITO (motor trades), 4trades, YES (youth employment success) and Otago University all set up stalls where they provided information, gave advice, and discussed entry requirements to their respective organisations.

It was pleasing to note that student engagement was high and feedback from the above organisations was extremely positive. They felt that our students were interested, willing to ask questions, polite and took advantage of this opportunity.
