For New Zealand Music Month, we had a number of performers get involved in the Library Lunchtime Jam.
It was awesome to see some group performances, as well as some brave young men going solo. A special shoutout to Year 10 student Lochie Ing-aram for his solo performance of Six60's Pepeha.
There was a great vibe in the library. Some students enjoyed their usual chess, Connect Four, and cards while the musicians created the atmosphere; others pulled up a chair to enjoy the performances. It was awesome to see the musicians share their talent and test their courage, and fantastic to see such a supportive and rousing response from the audience.
Through the winter months, we will look to have a few more library performances. The arts committee will be looking for anyone else who is keen to step up and give it a go.
