Over the past year, I have been working with students from across the country to form a nationwide student council.
This has been a complex undertaking, working with students, school staff, officials, and organisations to try and bring together the student body into one voice, united and able to represent all.
I am proud to announce that on Sunday we formed the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Student Council, with representatives from smaller councils across the country.
The aim of this council will be to bring together the student voices, representing all students across New Zealand. Additionally, I am honoured to announce that I have been asked to serve as and have accepted the role of President.
It is an absolute honour to serve, and I look forward to seeing what role we can play in improving the future for students now, and those who will follow us.
