Gateway 2023

This year for Gateway I had the opportunity to work in the landscaping industry with Nichol's.

I have had the opportunity to work at Nichol's every Thursday, and it has been a great experience. Every couple of weeks I have been with different staff members and they have been great teachers and taught me various tricks and skills. I have been able to work at residential properties and they have all been great builds to be involved in. I have also planted trees andshrubs.

My favourite part of landscaping is the construction side, as I'm able to work with tools I'm familiar with as well as tools I haven't used before. I enjoy looking at what the build is like before starting and how it looks when it's finished, knowing I had done a little bit to help.

The team at Nichol's have been welcoming and supportive and I've really enjoyed my Thursdays with them.
