Toni Tuuhoko-Pole (Year 10) and Rahui Valli (Year 9) have returned safely to New Zealand after a victorious campaign at the Rugby Heritage Cup in Pontlevoy, France. The boys represented the NZ Condor Rugby Sevens Under 15 side.
They won the final over an Australian school side, eight tries to four.
Toni and Rahui have done themselves, their whānau, and their brothers in the Hoops proud. Not only have they won an international tournament and represented their country, but they have carried themselves with honour. They are a good example of what an OB’s man should be. To show their appreciation, a group of junior rugby players led by the 15 Blues and joined by Head Boy Simi Puni, surprised Rahui and Toni with a school Haka in front of the Rector’s Office at school on Thursday morning.
Well done lads, we look forward to seeing you develop your rugby in a Hoops jersey over the coming years.
