Under 16 Water Polo Nationals

OBHS had five players in the squad of 10 who travelled to Auckland to compete in the U16 Water Polo Nationals.

After topping their pool, the U16 boys went on to win their quarter final against Canterbury Black before going down to the Auckland club - Sea Wolf White in a hard fought battle in the semis. The lads regrouped and brought everything they had to playoff for third place defeating Marist White (another Auckland club) in an epic game and walking away with the bronze medal.

Congratulations to Taka Sugiyama, Roland Ozanne, Blake Schofield, JoJo King and Aleks Kivilev on an outstanding achievement.

All of these boys are valuable additions to the OBHS Water Polo teams who have made a strong start to the season, with both the A grade and B grade teams winning their matches last night at Moana Pool.
