2023 Maori awards

On Thursday, 26 October, OBHS held the school Maori awards for the second year.

It was a great occasion to celebrate some outstanding success from Year 9 through to Year 13 across academic, sporting, and cultural success. Our boys gained a lot of insight into success, shared by our guest speaker, former Maori All Black and teacher, Neil Brew. The value of mana, perseverance and honour standing out amongst other gems. 

It was also great to see a number of our boys lead proceedings and also send off our student leavers on an emotional note. Thank you to all our whanau and wider community who attended and made this a special night which included a great banquet of food afterwards, shared with smiles and laughter.
