I am really enjoying my time working at Hayward College. I am there every Friday from 8.30am - 5pm working with Helen and the other kitchen staff.
I have a variety of jobs such as: baking, preparing food, measuring ingredients, cleaning dishes and many other jobs. I am also developing a range of knife skills. My favourite time of day is at lunchtime because I can sample what we have made and enjoy a hot chocolate while reading the paper.
I recommend the Gateway programme because you experience what work is like and develop a range of skills which will be helpful later in life.
