The Term four Schools futsal competition kicked off on Thursday night. It was a great start to the season for Otago Boys High School, unbeaten across the six matches played.

While the 9 Blue team had to score a late goal to salvage a draw, many of the teams had big wins. The two hostel teams were the most impressive. With lots of support from fellow hostel students, the teams amassed 22 goals between them.

10 Blue 9-3 v Kings HS

10 White 7-4 v Kings HS

10 Hostel 9-1 v Bayfield HS

9 Blue 4-4 v Kavanagh College

9 White 5-2 v Kings HS

9 Hostel 13-0 v Kaikorai Valley college

It was good to see the number of the students taking advantage of the bus provided to transport boys out to the Edgar Centre for games. Equally pleasing was how well organised the boys were, with only a few students not having shin pads. The teams looked great to match their performances on the court!

Thank you to the parents who helped with managing substitutes and supported their sons from the side lines.
