The South Island Secondary School Championships was held at Moana pool last weekend.

Four junior swimmers, Neo Salomonsson (13), Aleks Kivilev (14), Taka Sugiyama (14), Bogdan Bramley (14) and two senior swimmers, Anthony Sim (17) and Daniel Gilbert (17) represented Otago Boys', and they did not disappoint!

Points were earned for the top 10 placings in each individual event and together the boys collected enough points to take out the trophy for the “Top Boys' School”. A special mention should go to Neo who collected 168 points out of the school’s total of 429 points with his multiple events.

The junior boys also participated in the medley relay event. They took 3rd place, which is impressive considering the age group they competed in was 15 and under.
