News from the food room

It has been a challenging few weeks in Food and Nutrition.

To juggle the numbers in class, we have looked at recipes, following a recipe, and baking.

Year 9's had to find a baking recipe that they could make and take to Year 10 camp. Year 10's had to incorporate leftover food into a baking recipe. They had courgette, banana, yoghurt, or carrot.

This week the Year 9's looked at making stew. I would have to say, the mashed potato from today is the best to date from this task, a fine effort. 

Thank you to all those who have dropped in paper bags, jars, bottles, and containers.
