Luke hitting the high notes of success

At 14 years old, Luke Woo has already developed and achieved a lot as a pianist.

This year, Luke performed in the U16 section of the Dunedin Performing Arts and Competitions Society, held at Hanover Hall. Luke's repertoire consisted of such works as, Chopin's Nocturne in C Sharp Minor, and Balakirev Valse no. 6. He had tremendous success, with:

  • 1st Place in U16 Baroque Solo
  • 1st Place in the U16 own-selection piece and test piece
  • 2nd Place in the U16 Romantic era solo
  • Winner of the Institute of Registered Music Teachers cup
  • Winner of the Institute of Registered Music Teachers Scholarship
  • Winner of the Jenny Perez Cup
  • Winner of the most promising U16 performer
  • Winner of the Dunedin Musical Society U16 Scholarship

Luke is a talented and committed musician. We look forward to following his future growth and success.
