In a week where rules have been a focus, I wanted to draw your attention to an issue for the parents' of boys who drive to school on a restricted licence.
The law of Aotearoa is clear about the restrictions of a restricted licence. Yet as I do duty on Queens Drive most afternoons, I see boys driving with passengers. Hardly any have a full licence.
It is not the school's responsibility to ensure boys follow the road rules. We try to educate, but please understand the very real risk associated is worn by the parent and the boy.
If you think it is not your son, think again!
