On Wednesday 26 February 2020 the Year 13 Business Studies classes attended the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) Kick Start/Timata Day.
This year’s Lion Foundation YES launch day was hosted by the Dunedin Public Art Gallery. The 2020 Young Enterprise Scheme will see over 30 students from Otago Boys’ High School entered in the nationwide competition. The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) is a practical ‘hands-on’ business programme where student’s start-up their own companies, create real products/services, implement marketing plans, earn real money and keep their profits.
The Kick-start day is the first opportunity for students to meet the national and regional coordinators and is also an opportunity to meet potential mentors and other students from around the region.
Otago Boys’ High School this year will have 6 student businesses entered into this year’s nationwide competition. All businesses will require a mentor during the course of the year. If you would like to be a mentor to one of the teams please contact the Teacher in Charge Mr Gwyn Pratley via his school email address [email protected]
